Elizabeth Soto has over 20 years of experience in the legal field. Specializing in personal injury, Elizabeth uses that experience in preparing and organizing various legal documents for upcoming cases and trials. Her main duties include preparing pleadings, motions, affidavits and correspondence, discussing case details with the attorney and clients, organizing different files for different legal proceedings, translating and assisting Maxey at trial. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving, Liz loves the challenge of diving into cases, turning chaos into clarity, and helping clients get the justice they deserve. Whether it’s tracking down elusive documents, ensuring compliance with deadlines, or simply keeping everything running like clockwork, Liz thrives in the fast-paced world of litigation. Liz is compassionate, highly skilled and dedicated to providing exceptional support to attorneys and clients alike. Throughout her career, Liz has developed an in-depth understanding of personal injury cases, from initial client consultations through trial preparation and thereafter. In addition, Liz has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas at El Paso and is a loving wife to Jose and mother to her two awesome kids, who are following their mom’s success! Liz is also quite the foodie and chef!

Katrina Tarin has spent over 13 years as an Office Manager in a variety of fields, but the last few years have been spent in the legal realm with Maxey. Katrina handles all accounting needs for the firm while managing financial responsibility in the eight-figure range. Her background in media relations (touting internships at UTEP and the Sun Bowl Association) also plays a pivotal role in the firm’s marketing and social media strategies. As the supplementary liaison for all external relations, Katrina assists Ms. Scherr in her involvement with numerous boards including the State Bar of Texas, the American Association of Justice, The Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, El Paso’s Downtown Management District Board and the Women’s Rights Commission. Heading Human Resources, Katrina is not only responsible for the inner workings of firm events and operations, but she also spearheads the firm’s Scholarship and Internship Program and Law School and College Recruitment Program. When not immersed in documents, you can find Katrina either perfecting the art of organization (seriously, there’s no label-maker too fancy), or cracking a shot at the next great office TikTok. It’s all about keeping things organized, fun, and—of course—successful. When needed, you can also find Katrina drafting pleadings or conducting research. In addition to her many skills at the firm, Katrina is also a wife and mother to two very active kiddos who excel in volleyball, swimming, cheer and music. Katrina absolutely loves live music!

Brianna Salinas has dedicated over ten years to getting clients the justice they deserve. If there’s one thing Brianna knows, it’s that behind every successful case is a mountain of medical records and discovery documents, all meticulously organized and ready to make the case stronger. As the firm’s go-to Discovery and Medicals Clerk, Brianna is the wizard behind the scenes who ensures that the medical records, expert reports, and discovery is received, filed, and flawlessly prepped for attorneys to wield in court. Brianna is often the client’s most recognizable point of contact and confidante extraordinaire! Brianna has a heart of gold and caringly coordinates all communication and information to keep the firm’s strategy on focus and at an optimal level. Her attention to detail is evident as she accompanies Maxey to trial on occasion. Brianna is a proud Baylor alum with bachelor’s degrees in communications and psychology. Brianna is a proud dog mama and loves to see comedy shows, cook and travel.
